I love Brussel sprouts and they are so delicious and healthy! My favorite easy way to fix them is to boil them for 11-12 minutes in lightly salted water.
Start with cleaning the Brussel sprouts. Rinse well. I leave mine in a colander to drip off for a few minutes then I start trimming them.
Cut the ends and remove any damaged outer leaves. After you cut the ends, cut a small cross in the end. This helps the Brussel sprout cook.
Bring water to a boil and drop the Brussel sprouts in. You can cook any number of brussel sprouts you like.
Set the timer for 11 minutes and check your Brussel sprouts at that time for tenderness. Do not overcook!!
Drain the water and remove from the heat and enjoy!
Some people like a little lemon juice on Brussel sprouts.
To roast, prepare the same way as above. Drizzle the brussel sprouts with olive oil. Sprinkle with herbes de provence. Roast for 30 minutes or until tender. Some of the outer leaves with be very crisp, which is very good!!
11 minutes for boiling. 30 minutes for roasting.
